About Courtney Gaffan RN IBCLC
Hi there, I'm Courtney.
I am a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) and certified lactation consultant with over 25 years of experience in providing compassionate breastfeeding support and education. With a robust background in public health nursing and specialized training in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), I feel I have honed a deep understanding of the unique challenges and joys that come with breastfeeding and infant care.
In addition I have extensive clinical experience, I am an accomplished prenatal and postnatal educator, with the ability to nurture expectant and new parents through the transition into parenthood. I hold certifications in car seat safety and as a Doula, further enriching my ability to offer holistic support to families navigating their parenting journeys.
As a mom, sister, daughter, and friend, I deeply empathizes with the diverse experiences of families within my community. I have a passion to advocate for all mothers and parents, striving to create a supportive environment for those facing feeding challenges. My goal is to empower parents with the knowledge and confidence they need to embark on their parenting journey with positivity and resilience.
I am excited to bring a wealth of expertise and commitment where I can foster a culture of understanding and encouragement for breastfeeding families throughout the province. Together, we can create positive beginnings for parents and their little ones.
