Camilla is a mom to twins, Registered Nurse (RN), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Baby-led Sleep and Wellness Consultant, Registered Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator and Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy certified (PMH-C).
She has been a RN for 25+ years in various nursing specialities including maternal child health, infant mental health, public health, occupational health and infection control. She has been an IBCLC for over 13 years in hospital, community clinics and private practice. She has taken advanced training and education in many different lactation concerns some of those being, Tethered Oral Tissues(TOT) commonly known as “tongue ties”, breastfeeding multiples, low milk supply, relactation and breastfeeding neurologically compromised and premature infants.
She is a strong advocate for maternal and infant mental health and truly believes that if mom isn’t happy, then nobody’s happy! She has years (& years) of experience working with parents.
She helps parents navigate the hardest job anyone will ever have with down to earth practical approaches that focus on the parent-child relationship for ages birth through school age.
As a certified baby-led sleep and wellness coach she helps parents understand normal infant and child sleep and how to survive (& thrive) during the early years without having to resort to “sleep training”. She practices from an attachment based perspective and helps parents learn to listen to their “gut, tune-in to their baby’s cues and know that this journey was never meant to be done without the help of others.
Camilla (she/her) lives in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. In her spare time she can be found spending it with her animals (parrots and small horse), perfecting her downward dog in yoga practice or taking walks and travelling when the opportunity allows.
