Bethany Heintz RPN, IBCLC, RLC has a passion for integrative and functional medicine and works hard to keep abreast of new studies in these areas. Her career path as a nurse and lactation consultant have fostered in her a passion for the importance of both western and alternative medicines. She has a particular interest in holistic medicine including lactation, airway function, hormone regulation and digestive health.
Jandy Beresford, RLC, IBCLC. Like many lactation consultants, it was Jandy’s own struggles with her first child that inspired her to become an IBCLC. She began working toward the certification in 2014 and wrote the exam and certified in 2017. Jandy has a growing private practice, primarily in the Durham region, Ontario where she focuses on providing breastfeeding and babywearing support to help parents meet their parenting goals in a way that allows them to keep their own values at the forefront.
Fara Patterson BAH, BScN, RN, IBCLC is a Lactation Consultant and a maternal and infant care nurse who has been working with mothers for over 20 years. She has extensive experience both in both community and clinical settings.
Fara brings a unique wholistic perspective to her practice. She is the mother of two bright (and daily challenging!) children of her own, and the daughter of environmental advocates and world travellers. She can expertly guide you through the technical challenges new mothers face in learning to breastfeed, while also providing sensitive and nurturing care and counselling for the mother baby dyad.
Ashley Pickett, IBCLC has a passion for helping families find practical solutions in the Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Kitchener-Waterloo, Mississauga and Toronto areas. She assists parents in finding ways to meet a baby`s authentic sleep, feeding and parenting needs while still finding ways for the grown-ups to feel rested, find gratitude in the journey and to avoid feelings of overwhelm.
She has extensive cross-training in the fields of infant feeding, attachment-focused parenting, labour and birth, infant mental health, and developmentally normal infant sleep.
Amanda knows from personal experience how a positive breastfeeding relationship impacts the whole family and leaves a lasting impression. Finding experienced breastfeeding support helped her overcome difficulties until she was able to enjoy breastfeeding, eventually tandem nursing through toddlerhood and beyond. A passion for lactation support was born and in 2004 she became an accredited La Leche League Leader. Since then Amanda has helped many hundreds of parents and babies through her roles as a Lactation Counsellor, Childbirth Educator, Doula and Second Attendant for home births with local Midwives. Amanda's practice is inspired by the Midwifery Model of Care, she would love to support your breastfeeding adventure wherever it takes you, from pregnancy through toddlerhood and beyond.
