A mom of 2 breastfed kiddos, now grown, Beth lives in Ottawa and will happily see clients both virtually and in person. She works out of Milkface on Carling Ave in the Westboro area. She is an active member of several professional organizations and advocate for access to high quality lactation care for all families.
Beth has enjoyed working with a broad range of families with diverse goals, histories and experiences since becoming an IBCLC in 2007. Understanding each family's unique circumstances and providing them the information and tools to reach their personal infant feeding goals is her priority.
Many years spent as a volunteer providing parent to parent breastfeeding support and then as a professional in the field, allowed Beth to acquire a strong foundation of listening to families. A focus on maternal and infant mental health and supporting new families as they get to know and adjust to their new roles and relationships is at the core of her work. In addition to continuing to seek new knowledge through extensive continuing education about breast/chestfeeding and lactation, Beth has also pursued other training in related areas such as childbirth education, infant sleep, and postpartum mental health. Prenatal breastfeeding education is one of her favourite areas of focus, she loves to meet with families before their baby(ies) arrive to help them prepare for their new adventure. Beth is committed to working with families to sort out complex feeding situations and enjoys collaborating with other professionals to provide the support families need to overcome feeding challenges.
