Hello from Nav!
Hi! I'm Nav, a mom of 3, a Registered Nurse (RN), Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a Birth and Postpartum Doula.
My background is in paediatric Nursing, where I spent the majority of my career working at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto as a Registered Nurse. My love for children is what led me to work in paediatrics. After having my own children, I discovered a passion for all things pregnancy and baby-related, which is what led to me becoming a Doula and Lactation Consultant.
Becoming a mom myself gave me a lot of new perspective… It really opened my eyes to all the moms around me that struggle in silence. I wanted to take everything I know and help as many new moms and families as I was able to.
I believe that the combination of my training, my Nursing and paediatric experiences, as well as having three girls of my own have created a potent mix of knowledge, experience, and understanding.
I give my utmost to give great care and service to each and every one of my clients. You can be sure I’ll do that for you.
I believe in providing judgement-free support to moms and families that I work with. Compassion and understanding are central to my work, as they help establish a calm and supportive atmosphere for my clients, during what can be a challenging and hectic time. Let’s be honest, these experiences can be tough, but you don’t need to face these hardships alone.
